Add this calf raise exercise to your calves workout!

Stand with your torso upright holding two dumbbells in your hands by your sides. Place the ball of the foot on a sturdy and stable wooden board (that is around 2-3 inches tall) while your heels extend off and touch the floor. This will be your starting position.

With the toes pointing either straight (to hit all parts equally), inwards (for emphasis on the outer head) or outwards (for emphasis on the inner head

Position your feet on the edge of a step with only the balls of your feet on the platform and your legs straight but not locked at the knees.

Movement
Without Clenching your toes and keeping your legs straight raise up as high as you can onto your toes until you feel a full contraction in your calf muscle. Slowly return to the start position. Perform the prescribed number of reps.
