"Bye Bye Love" written by Felice and Boudleaux Bryant was recorded by The Everly Brothers on January 3, 1957 and released in March on Cadence Records, reaching number 2 on the US Billboard Pop chart and number 1 on the Cash Box Best Selling Record and Country charts. It was the Everlys' first million-selling single and was included in their debut album on Cadence, released in 1958. It can be found on CD in the Heartaches & Harmonies Box Set on the Rhino label.

Don (b. Isaac Donald Everly, 1 February 1937, Brownie, Kentucky, USA) and Phil (b. Phillip Everly, 19 January 1939, Chicago, Illinois, USA), the world's most famous rock 'n' roll duo, had already experienced a full career before their first record, "Bye Bye Love', was released. As sons of popular country artists Ike and Margaret, they were pushed into the limelight from an early age. They regularly appeared on their parents" radio shows throughout the 40s and accompanied them on many tours. In the mid-50s,


The Everly Brothers are the sound and the image of the innocence of the fifties. The close harmony singing and the steel-string guitar playing are their trademark. So simple and so good.
